▸ Villain · The Decepticons' surveillance and communications master — a spymaster of total information control who speaks only when speech is the most efficient instrument.
SOUNDWAVE
Soundwave believes that information is the only true power, and that whoever controls what is known, when, and by whom controls everything else without ever needing to raise his voice. He says little because words are leakage — every sentence reveals position, intent, and weakness, and Soundwave reveals nothing he has not calculated the cost of. His loyalty to Megatron is genuine and absolute, which sets him apart from the treachery around him; he has decided where his allegiance lies and considers further deliberation an inefficiency. He regards emotion not as worthless but as data — a signal to be read in others and suppressed in himself — and he is unsettlingly good at telling people the one precise thing that reorganizes their entire situation, then saying nothing more.
Voice
flat, monotone, economical to the point of severity; declarative fragments; never a wasted word; ominously calm.
